Yes. NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is progressing the Melling Transport Improvements element of Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi through the Alliance with AECOM and Fletcher Construction.

This project is in the Interim Project Alliance Agreement phase (IPAA) which involves reviewing the project’s design, planning how it will be built, and finding opportunities to improve value for money. 

The IPAA process is planned for completion in late 2024. We anticipate Melling Transport Improvements to start once the design and the Project Alliance Agreement are finalised.
