Following enabling, demolition and investigation works through until December 2025, main construction on the Melling Transport Improvements will start in January 2026. This is a large programme with many different deliverables, so our current programme has construction finishing in 2032. Work will be delivered in stages, and progressive traffic management plans will be in place to minimise disruption - people will be advised about what's going on – when and where.
